The brave young man

The brave young man was twenty
when his plane fell from the sky,
Trapped in flaming wreckage
an awful way to die.
For sixty years he’d lain there beneath
the English sod,
And no one knew as they walked by
upon a grave they trod.
Quite by chance the brave young man
was found and then exhumed,
And laid to rest within the place his parents
were entombed.
God bless that brave young man and all the boys
that were The Few,
And I thank God he’s now beside
the one that bore him too.
