My Voice

The world has many people who have a tale to tell

Some may live in heaven while others live in hell

Some have everything they need and live each day in peace

While others live with war and fear and hope these wars will cease

Everybody has a dream they hope someday comes true

I have also got a dream and this I share with you

I dream someday I'll write a song and sing it for the world

My voice will sing the words of peace no need for flags unfurled

My voice will mend a broken heart and help to ease the pain

And the rhyhmes and the melody will help them love again

My voice will sing the words of love and all the hurt will go

My voice will sing a lullaby tender soft and low

My song won't have the answers to all that's right and wrong

But my voice will sing a melody with a message loud and strong

The message that my voice sings out will make the world as one

The world will sing in harmony no need to use a gun

My voice will sing my song for you my heart will set the beat

And every busker in the world will play it in their street

But I know my voice can't heal the world but how I wish it would

And for that moment in my dream I really thought it could
