but if that’s something that you don’t rate.

You can keep your pop stars with their backing tracks

I can tell you it’s not my scene.

Just give me a big band with a pretty girl singing

that old evergreen.

So let the kids dance to their music

I wouldn’t criticise.

But when it comes to real live music

it’s a big band and there’s no compromise.
